The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, FCT Command says it has arrested three suspected vandals and cable thieves.
According to the statement, the suspects, Peter Kile, 27, Akanuge Sammel 27 and Justin Tundu, 31, were caught with unlawful possession of the cables by a patrol team around House on the Rock Church Junction, Airport road in the Federal Capital Territory . It said the FCT Commandant, Olusola Odumosu expressed disgust at the level of vandalism and destruction of infrastructure in the FCT, and vowed to launch a more intensified onslaught against criminals and vandals defacing the capital territory.
“We will intensify our efforts to fish out all of them, and more arrests would be made in due course.The statement noted that the Command was working in synergy with other security agencies within the FCT, adding that they will sanitise the Federal Capital Territory by restoring peace and ensuring adequate security.
