The Abia State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has apprehended three individuals allegedly involved in oil pipeline vandalism, theft, and illegal petroleum product dealings. The arrests were made following actionable intelligence that led to a swift response by the command's anti-vandal patrol team. Substantial quantities of petroleum products were recovered during the operation. The suspects, Oscar Eteobong (37), Isaac Aniete Edemba Udoh (40), and Emmanuel Uzoma Sunday (20), hail from Akwa Ibom and Abia States respectively. Investigations are ongoing to uncover the full extent of the criminal network.

The arrest was announced on Monday in a statement by Doreen Udugwu, the command's Public Relations Officer.
According to the statement, the successful arrest was made possible through actionable intelligence, which prompted the anti-vandal patrol team of the command to respond swiftly. During the operation, substantial quantities of petroleum products were discovered.
