The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps have arrested a 65-year-old man for allegedly raping an 11-year-old orphan repeatedly. The Command also paraded five suspects including two ex-convicts who specialise in killing motorcycle owners before disposing of their machines. Also, a female money counterfeiter and five-sex workers were paraded, yesterday, by the Command.
According to the NSCDC Commandant, Waziri Gona, the culprit who often took the girl to a bush, always threatened to kill her, if she disclosed the illicit affairs to anyone including her guardian. The victim recounted how she fell into the hands of the rapist: “I was on errand one day and I was pressed and wanted to ease myself in the nearby bush when a hand grabbed me from behind and when I tried to shout, he covered my mouth and threatened to kill me.”
“It was like he was everywhere I went as he always seized me from behind to dragged me into the bush,” she said.
