The Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC), recorded over 100 per cent increase in passenger volume on the on Lagos –Osogbo and Lagos-Zaria rail service
The NRC provided passenger and freight train service on the narrow gauge railway line from Iddo and Ebute-Metta Junction to Osogbo and Zaria while China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation , in collaboration with NRC provided passenger train service on the Standard gauge rail track from Bola Ahmed Tinubu train terminal at Apapa to Obafemi Awolowo train terminal at Moniya in Oyo State during the holiday period.
The free passenger train already paid for by the Osun State government departed Iddo at about 12.noon and arrived Osogbo in the night.
