Enyimba returned to winning ways in the Nigeria Professional Football League courtesy of a hard-fought 2-1 win against Plateau United in Aba on Sunday.
The eight-time champions failed to record a win in their previous four games before Sunday’s encounter at the Enyimba International Stadium.
Imo Obot gave Enyimba the lead in the 34th minute, while Chukwuemeka Obioma added the second in the 53rd minute.Innocent Chimezie reduced the deficit ten minutes from time.The home team took an early lead through Desmond Agbekpomu.Holders Rivers United were held to a 0-0 draw by Niger Tornadoes.
