Former Super Eagles winger, George Finidi will be under scrutiny again as eight-time winners, Enyimba begin the 2022/23 campaign against Nasarawa United
The People’s Elephant endured a torrid time under the former Ajax star last season, finishing in seventh position.
But the management of the club decided to keep faith with Finidi and much will be expected from the gaffer this season. A positive start in this opening fixture will no doubt boost the team’s confidence ahead of a long campaign. For Nasarawa United, their home ground, Lafia Township Stadium is currently undergoing renovation works and not playing in front of their fans might hinder their performance this season.
The Solid Miners finished in sixth position last term and a place on the continent will be their target.
