Against the backdrop of the ongoing military operations in the North-East, some women of the region, on Tuesday, commended the military, describing it as
The group under the aegis of North-East Women Solidarity Forum , said it was encouraged by the complete synergy of the Armed Forces of Nigeria in tackling the insurgency in the region.
In a press release signed by Aisha Gombe and Hajatu Maina, President and Secretary respectively, they said the various military outfits in the region have performed creditably.The group lauded the Nigerian Airforce and Army for the recent successful outings that led to elimination of scores of Boko Haram-ISWAP terrorists in Gubio, Borno State.
They said the success was a manifestation of the able leadership of the Armed Forces of Nigeria under Gen. Lucky Irabor who continue to emphasised professionalism and synergy. They said, “we welcome what the Armed Forces of Nigeria is doing in the Northeast. It gives us hope that very soon, our people in IDP camps will return to their homes.
“We also laud Operation Hadin Kai for working to restore lasting peace to Maiduguri, the capital of Borno State, and other troubled parts of the Northeast.
