Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed has reaffirmed his commitment to safeguarding the reputation of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Addressing the PDP North-East Zonal Caucus meeting in Bauchi, Governor Mohammed emphasized that he and his fellow party members are dedicated to upholding the party's integrity.
The governor, who also serves as the chairman of the PDP Governors' Forum, disclosed that party leaders from the zone had met with the reconciliation committee established by the National Working Committee (NWC). He highlighted that the zone has been recognized as having the lowest level of division and discord. Governor Mohammed stressed that the meeting reached a consensus on the zone's unity and focus, with members working diligently to ensure they do not bring dishonor to the party. 'We bring diverse projects and programs that will directly impact the aspirations of our people,' he stated. 'We remain loyal to the zone and its various chapters, including those without a governor, and we will continue to demonstrate this commitment.'Another governor from the zone, Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa, characterized the reconciliation committee as timely, considering the party's ongoing challenges. Governor Fintiri underscored the importance of collective efforts for the party to regain its position of leadership.
