Noel Pearson has hailed the success of the Walk for Yes events held across the nation on the weekend and dropped a hint about the Voice to Parliament’s potential role in establishing treaty.

The Indigenous leader made the comments during a Yes23 press conference in Sydney’s Martin Place on Monday morning following two days of rallies held in support of the upcoming referendum which attracted thousands of Australians.

Picture: Chris Kidd / News Corp Australia "The Voice is going to enable Indigenous people to have a say and they're going to offer their recommendations and their representations to the parliament and the government of the day,” Mr Pearson said. "We'll be like everybody else. We will be in the marketplace of democracy and we will have an opportunity to really press our case for a wide range of issues.
