Brazil football legend, Ronaldinho, has advised Lionel Messi that he “must stay” at Barcelona.
According to him, Messi is in a position where he can ensure that “nobody will touch” the No 10 shirt at the club again.Ronaldinho is delighted to see the six-time Ballon d’Or winner raising the bar and wants to see contractual issues ironed out that would allow the 34-year-old to remain.“When Messi retires, which I hope will be in a long time, he can leave the No 10 there and nobody will touch it again,” he told TuttoMercatoWeb.
Messi became a free agent after his contract expired on June 30. However, he is believed to have extended his contract with the Catalans by five years with a 50 per cent pay cut due to the club’s financial situation.
