BANGI: The Education Ministry will postpone the Form Three Assessment (PT3) examination if the Air Pollutant Index (API) level goes above 300.

The standard operating procedure on handling examinations during haze is the same as the SOP on school closures, says Education Ministry deputy director-general Dr Ahmad Rafee Che Kassim.

“In areas where the API is high, such as Sri Aman, Sarawak, we will have to postpone these exams nationwide as it is a government exam. “We hope the situation will not worsen,” he told a special press conference to address the SOP for schools during haze. Ahmad Rafee said if the API touched 200, schools would be closed but government exams would still proceed.
