The presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in the 2023 general elections, Mr. Peter Obi, has cautioned that no one should give the Obidient Movement any ethnic and religious colouration. Obi, who secured third place in the February 25 presidential election on Sunday night said that the movement which started after his emergence as the Labour Party’s presidential candidate in 2022, is not about his tribe or religion nor is it an Igbo agenda or intended to be used to ‘Christianise’ Nigeria.

Obi, who secured third place in the February 25 presidential election on Sunday night said that the movement which started after his emergence as the Labour Party’s presidential candidate in 2022, is not about his tribe or religion nor is it an Igbo agenda or intended to be used to ‘Christianise’ Nigeria.

Obi, however, said, “In the life of every nation, there is a turning point. For Nigeria, that time is now; a time to save Nigeria, save our democracy and give the Nigerian youths hope. The Obidient Movement has been the arrowhead in the take-back Nigeria mission.
