The leadership of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), on Wednesday, said no camp official or corps member has tested positive in any of the 37 NYSC

The director, press and public relations, Mrs Adenike Adeyemi, who denied a media report during an interview with LEADERSHIP, said the newspaper report was misleading, maintaining that all corps members as well as camp officials admitted in the camps are COVID-19 negative.

Adeyemi said only corps members who were tested and confirmed negative were allowed to enter into the camps.“Any prospective corps member who was tested positive was immediately handed over to the NCDC. The corps members inside the camps are not positive. “Management hereby restates that there is no COVID-19 positive Corps Member in any of the 37 NYSC Orientation Camps nationwide.

“Please, note that before any prospective Corps Member is admitted into the 37 camps, they must undergo COVID-19 test. “Only those that test negative are admitted, the same rule applies to camp officials. Those that test positive are handed over to the NCDC for treatment and management,” she said.
