So, power cuts until Friday it is then... 🔌🪫✂️ Eskom Loadshedding

Stage 1 load shedding will now be implemented during the day, while stage two will run at night until Friday.

Spokesperson Sikonathi Mantshantsha says the increased load shedding has been caused by a delay in returning four generating units to service. "The delay in the return of two generating units at Camden, one unit each at Kendal and Matimba power stations have contributed to the generation capacity shortages. This has subsequently contributed to the generation capacity shortages.""Stage 1 load shedding will be implemented daily until Friday, while Stage 2 load shedding will be implemented nightly until Friday. Stage 2 load shedding will continue to be implemented on a daily basis at 16:00 - 05:00 until Friday.
