Martinez also heaped praises on Messi for leading Argentina to win the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar last year. “He [Messi] had an amazing World Cup. What I saw of him, what he did on the pitch,” Martinez told Secta Deportiva.“He’s staying as number 1 all these years. … He’s a true example.”
