The faction of the New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP) has announced that it will probe Rabiu Kwankwaso, its presidential candidate in the 2023 elections, and some other members of the party over alleged mismanagement of over N1 billion made from the sale of its nomination forms.
The faction opposed to Kwankwaso alleged that the party had been mismanaged in the past year.
The faction said the probe is necessary to restore the confidence of party members/candidates “who came forward with their hard-earned money to purchase forms”. The faction also queried the rationale for the alleged relocation of the situation room to Kwankwaso’s personal residence.The faction noted that the illegal relocation created room for “the massive corruption and manipulation leading to imposition of candidates by Buba Galadima and his co-travellers” and resolved to set up a committee to launch an investigation into the matter.
