The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited has debunked reports that the newly rehabilitated Port Harcourt Refinery has shutdown operations.

In a statement issued in Abuja, Olufemi Soneye Chief Corporate Communications Officer NNPC Ltd, said contrary to reports the Port Harcourt Refinery is fully operational. He said, 'The attention of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited has been drawn to reports in a section of the media alleging that the Old Port Harcourt Refinery which was re-streamed two months ago has been shut down.
