The governorship candidate of the African Democratic Congress in Abia, Bishop Sunday Onuoha, has identified political dialogue as the only way of settling the case of the Independent People of Biafra leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, who is currently being detained by the DSS in Abuja.
Others he said included; international relations development agencies, job creation, youth and women empowerment, agriculture and rural development.
He further disclosed that he would enthrone participatory governance, education for sustainable development, accessible basic health for all, effective trade and commerce as well as use faith missions for community development. The methodist clergy and the first Bishop to contest governorship election in Abia, said he would engage a tripartite formula of traditional rulers, the clergy and the community leaders, to develop the Abia communities where democracy is domiciled.
Fielding questions later, Onuoha said that INEC had shown that electoral process in the country was growing and urged them to remain apolitical and “outsmart politicians.” He rejected the insinuations in some quarters that PVCs were being issued only to voters of a particular party. All rights reserved.
