The Nigerian Medical Association, on Sunday, announced the setting up of a three-member committee to investigate what it described as “shameful behaviour” exhibited by its members in Enugu State durin
g an aborted election by the state chapter.
The President, NMA, Prof. Innocent Ujah, who announced the setting up of the committee during a press conference in Abuja, said the decision was taken at the national officers’ committee meeting. The committee, chaired by a former President of the association, Prof. Mike Ogirima, also has Agam Ayuk and Chris Yilgwan, the immediate-past chairmen of the Cross River and Plateau state chapters of the NMA, respectively, as members.
