The Nigeria Labour Congress and the Trade Union Congress have justified the proposed N615,000 minimum wage for workers in a breakdown on Friday.

The details were contained in a statement released by the NLC entitled: ‘2024 National minimum wage negotiation: How we arrived at N615, 000,’ on Friday. Meanwhile, in his May Day message to workers, President Bola Tinubu said an upward review of the minimum wage is imminent.Also, NLC pegged N110,000 for transportation per month; while housing/accommodation was N40,000 a month.
