Nismo has a range of performance upgrades for the new Z.
Nissan's tuning/motorsport arm, Nismo, has long offered a range of performance parts for the legendary Z car, and that's set to continue for the new model, the RZ34. For SEMA this year, Nissan and Nismo built up a new Z featuring all sorts of upgrades soon available for the 2023 Z, and it's not just cosmetic stuff.New suspension components include a coilover kit that allows for ride height and rebound adjustment, adjustable anti-roll bars and a shock-tower brace.
There's also a gorgeous set of new Nismo LM-RS1 wheels, measuring 19x9.5 in the front, 19x10.5 in the rear. The rears are a half-inch wider than the stock Z Performance units, so this car sports slightly larger 285/35R-19 tires out back instead of the standard 275/35-R19s. For extra grip, Nismo ditched the standard Bridgestone S007s for a set of the company's new RE-71RS 200-treadwear tires.
This car is also equipped with a Nismo big-brake kit, which includes larger slotted rotors front and rear plus 6-piston calipers up front and 4-pistons in the rear. The standard Z Performance uses 4-piston calipers up front and twin-pistons out back. Also included are new pads—whichThe engine benefits from a new intake and a new heat exchanger to reduce charge-air temperature.
Naturally, there are visual upgrades, too, including carbon-fiber mirror caps, carbon-fiber steering wheel trim, aluminum fuel- and oil-filler caps, and a titanium shift knob. Aside from the components that carry over from the 370Z, which are already on sale, these Z performance parts will be available at Nissan dealers early next year. All of this should make the Z even better on track, which sounds great to us.
