No fewer than nine persons, on Monday, escaped death by a whisker when a four-storey building under construction in the Lifecamp area of Abuja in the Federal Capital Territory, collapsed.
He said five persons escaped when the building suddenly caved in, adding that four other victims trapped in the rubble were rescued and taken to the Gwarinpa General Hospital for immediate attention.
Adebayo said, “Five escaped out of the building by themselves. Four were rescued alive and taken to the Gwarinpa Hospital. There’s no certainty that anyone remains inside but operations may last for three to four days.” The recent building collapse was the third in Abuja after a three-storey building collapsed in Gwarimpa earlier in February, and a fence collapsed in Wuse II, in April. All rights reserved.
