Thousands of young people organised and marched through major cities throughout the country over two weeks of the #EndSARS in October 2020, calling for an end to decades of police brutality and other forms of injustice. Thespian and social justice activist Debo Adedayo, aka Mr. Macaroni, tweeted that he would be participating in the walk in memory of those who had been brutalised by police.

Lagos Policemen Force Two Detained Nigerian Youths To Pay N80,000 After Assault | Sahara ReportersThe operatives of the Nigeria Police Force from Area H Division in Lagos, have finally released the two yet-to-be-identified youths who were arrested on Sunday for refusing to be extorted. They were however forced to pay N80,000 on Tuesday as bail before they were released. This comes despite the criticism that trailed the illegal arrest and detention of the duo. SaharaReporters gathered that the policemen collected N40,000 each as bail money for the youths while their relations and friends were extorted at every given opportunity.

How Customs Comptroller Slumped In Nigerian Airport, Died | Sahara ReportersThe Nigerian Customs Service on Tuesday announced the death of its comptroller in charge of the Trade Facilitation Unit, Anthony Ayalogu. Ayalogu died on Monday shortly after he took ill at the Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport. The service in a statement the Public Relations Unit issued on Tuesday, signed by A.A. Maiwada, said, the deceased was on an official assignment when he suddenly lost consciousness. He was reportedly taken to the Nigerian Airforce Hospital, Kano, where he was pronounced dead on Monday.
