Nigerian University Students Protest Against Incessant Abduction Of Colleagues In Zamfara, Demand Security PresenceThe angry students lamented that there was no security either within the institution

or the host community, saying that they were being abducted like chickens by the armed criminals.Students of the Federal University, Gusau, Zamfara State on Saturday grounded vehicular movement on a major highway in the state following as they protest incessant abduction of their fellow students including the kidnapping of five students of the university.

The armed criminals were said to have raided the apartments in the early hours of Saturday and kidnapped the students while firing several shots into the air as they fled into the nearby bush. Security operatives however managed to dismantle the blockade at Damba community but the students were said to have regrouped near the main gate of the university and demanded improved security in the area.
