It was gathered that the civilians who are staff members of the hotel demanded their salary after cleaning the hotel but the manager of the hotel called soldiers to beat them up. The soldiers humiliated the workers and forced them into a gutter, seized their phones and threatened them with grievous bodily harm.

The soldiers humiliated the workers and forced them into a gutter, seized their phones and threatened them with grievous bodily harm.Reacting to the incident, the Director of Army Public Relations, Brigadier General Onyema Nwachukwu, in a statement on Sunday condemned the soldiers’ action, describing it as an aberration of the values and ethics of professionalism, courage, selflessness and service to humanity which the NA represents.
