Former militant leader, Asari Dokubo, has reaffirmed his claim that those in the Nigerian Army are behind oil bunkering in the Niger Delta. Asari said President Bola Tinubu directed him to address the press, where he accused soldiers of oil bunkering in the region.
In June, the former militant leader had claimed that the bulk cases of oil theft recorded in the Niger Delta were traceable to the Nigerian Army and Navy. Asari had disclosed this after a meeting with Tinubu at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
In his latest video, Asari said: 'It's the president I'm talking about and since they don't want us to keep secret; I won't. It's the president that asked me to talk to the press. 'If they ask me the root cause of bunkering, I shouldn't talk? Should I be afraid of calling those behind bunkering? 'It's not Ijaw, Ikwerre, or Ogoni boys that are involved in bunkering.
