Renowned Nigerian-American Professor, Jacob K. Olupona, has been elected into thr American Academy of Arts and Sciences.
Olupona, a Professor of African Religious Traditions at the Harvard Divinity School, is among the new excellent individuals elected to the Academy in 2023.
The prize, which is worth $300,000, is awarded to exceptional scholars who have distinguished themselves in the field of History. He was announced by Academy President, David W. Oxtoby, and Chair of the Board of Directors, Nancy C. Andrews. Professor Olupona has won several awards including the 2018 Martin E. Marty Award for the Public Understanding of Religion.

Nigerian Man Arrested For Chaining, Killing Two Children After Starving Them For Months | Sahara ReportersOperatives of the Southwest security network, Amotekun Corps have arrested a 45-year-old man identified as Gbenga Ogunfadeke, for allegedly chaining and starving his two children to death.
