The Nigeria Police Force, Delta State Command, has arrested one John Ijeh, popularly known as Oyibo, a suspected notorious kidnapper. Oyibo according to sources was arrested in his residence in Ugboba, Aniocha North Local Government Area of the State by security operatives following a petition by a concerned indigene to the State Commissioner of Police.

One of the sources told SaharaReporters that the suspect was arrested in 2013 in connection to the assassination attempt on Mr Victor Ochei, the then Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly.A security source told SaharaReporters on Saturday that the suspect had been involved in the kidnapping of a minor at the popular market in Asaba known as"Ogbogonogo" and he was apprehended by security operatives.
