Operatives of the Nigeria Police Force, Ogun State Command, Ifo Division, has reportedly demanded N540,000 before granting bail to Oriwege Olashile, a woman who had been detained for days over a rift with her husband, Dare Gbadebo. A relative of the parties involved, who is privy to the incident, told SaharaReporters that Mr Gbadebo dragged his wife, Olashile to the police station after accusing her of swindling him to buy a landed property.

According to sources, Gbadebo did not stop there; he also put his wife’s brother, Ọlálékan Oriwegbe, a student of the Federal Polytechnic Ilaro heind bars after the latter showed up at the police station to clarify the contending land dispute between the couple. The source said that when they got back to the police station on June 6, they met with the “IPO and she explained that we have to beg the father-in-law of the accused that he's an Honourable a former CDA of Ibogun .”
