Men of the Ogudu Division of the Nigeria Police Force, Lagos State command, have on Friday arrested two out of three fraudsters who allegedly defrauded a 64-year-old woman. Police report said that the suspects identified as Uche Awaize ‘m’ aged 45 and Osadebe Aigbe ‘m’ aged 35 who had already collected the sum of N90,000 from their victim were arrested at an undisclosed bank where they were waiting to collect another N600,000 from the victim.

November 19, 2022Preliminary investigation revealed that the suspects had first collected N90,000 from the woman.

Police report said that the suspects identified as Uche Awaize ‘m’ aged 45 and Osadebe Aigbe ‘m’ aged 35 who had already collected the sum of N90,000 from their victim were arrested at an undisclosed bank where they were waiting to collect another N600,000 from the victim. However, while the suspects waited outside the bank, the 64-year-old woman who was fidgety inside the bank was noticed of her uneasiness by the bank cashier who asked her what the problem was. When she told the cashier she would die if talked, the bank official insisted she explain her problem.

“Police officers from Ogudu Division were quickly contacted. Of the three fraudsters waiting outside, Uche Awaize 'm' aged 45 and Osadebe Aigbe 'm' aged 35 were arrested. The third suspect bolted.
