The incident reportedly happened on April 4, 2023, in the Ajiya neighborhood in Yola, the state capital, according to a police report.

Confirming Ibrahim's arrest, spokesperson of the police in the state, SP Suleiman Nguroje said,"the incident was reported to the Divisional Police Headquarters, Jimeta by the father of the victims having observed unusual pains from the kids while urinating. "The Commissioner of Police, CP Afolabi Babatola who expressed worry over the unfortunate incident, directed the officer in charge of Family Support Unit of the State CID to take over investigation and ensure diligent prosecution.
