A 44-year-old man, identified as Safi Abolaji, known as Ojulari has been arrested for alleged unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition at Kankatu area, Ilorin Kwara State. Ojulari, who confessed to be a member of the opposition and a member of the Aye confraternity, was arrested at a political rally of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state, Police said.

The Police Public Relations Officer of the command, Ajayi Okasanmi who confirmed the incident in a statement issued on Monday said Ojulari’s arrest followed intelligence which led to him being overpowered by public-spirited persons and policemen.
