The Nigeria Police Force, Ogun State Command, has arrested controversial singer, Habeeb Okikiola, also known as Portable after expiration of 72 hour ultimatum to turn himself in.
This was confirmed by the state police spokesperson, Abimbola Oyeyemi who said the “Zazoo Zeh” crooner was arrested on Friday and he is currently at the state headquarters of the police in Eleweran, Abeokuta, Premium Times reports.
The incident was captured on his verified Instagram page in live videos, where the Zazu Zeh crooner was seen challenging the authority of the police as they attempted to cart him away. According to one of the officers, they came to arrest the singer because of the petition against him, and they told him that he is not above the law and cannot dictate how they operate.
Manny Monie, a former signee of the singer, revealed in a video posted online that he was the one who wrote the petition to the police against the singer. According to Monie, the petition was written in December of last year, and efforts to bring Portable in for questioning had failed.
