Ahead of the Saturday's Governorship and House of Assembly elections, the Enugu State Command of the Nigeria Police Force says it has arrested 13 criminal suspects with arms and ammunition with other incriminating items. The suspects according to a statement on Wednesday, by the Command's spokesman, Daniel Ndukwe, were arrested for the offences of conspiracy, armed robbery, attempted murder, unlawful possession of firearm and cult activities.

"The suspects include: one Igwe Joseph aged 34, Nze Kingsley aged 33, Emmanuel Egbu aged 37, Akachukwu Davidson aged 24, Nnamani Collins aged 40, Onaga Linus aged 28, Eze Chinaza aged 29 and Mkpadi Joseph aged 27. Seven expended cartridges, an ENTRACO-branded Mini Bus, four tricycles and several empty cartons of Squadron drink used for the initiation were recovered."
"Their arrest is sequel to the receipt of series of credible information and reports alleging the perpetration of acts of armed robbery, attempted murder, unlawful possession of firearms, cultism and other criminal activities by the suspects.
