1. Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has no pending petition or criminal matters with the Police, the Inspector General of Police , Alkali Baba Usman, has said. This is contained in a counter affidavit filed at the Federal High Court in Abuja by Usman’s counsel, Mr. Wisdom Madaki.
3. Vice-Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Senator Kashim Shettima, has said if elected in 2023, the Asiwaju Bola Tinubu-led government will end insurgency within six months and one year. He said this during a town hall meeting between Tinubu and the business community in Lagos.
5. A fire outbreak in the early hours of yesterday at the Adeola Odeku area of Victoria Island, Lagos, has claimed no fewer than six lives. The fire gutted a building suspected to be occupied by a company. Cars and other valuables were also destroyed in the inferno. 7. PDP suspends political activities over Davido’s son deathFollowing the demise of Ifeanyi, the son of Afrobeats superstar Davido, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Osun State has suspended political activities for the week. Davido, who is the cousin to Osun Governor-elect Ademola Adeleke, reportedly lost his son after he was drown in a poll in Lagos State. A statement by Osun Caretaker Chairman of PDP, Dr Adekunle Akindele, expressed sadness over the incident and prayed with the family for God to console them. “Following the death of Ifeanyi, all party activities are hereby suspended to commiseration with the family of Adeleke. “We mourn the sorrowful exit of our son, Ifeanyi. We pray for the repose of his soul. It is a sad day but we remain steadfast in our faith in the Lord of the Universe. “Our condolence goes to Davido, our youth ambassador. We commiserate with our father figure, Dr Deji Adeleke and the entire Adeleke family. We pray the good Lord grant the family the strength to bear this irreparable loss,” the statement reads.

10 Fresh Unidentified Corpses Found In Nigerian Community | Sahara ReportersTen unidentified corpses have been discovered around Ibillo-Lampese along the Lagos-Abuja Road in the Akoko-Edo local government area of Edo State. Edo is in the South-South region of Nigeria. Some farmers on their way to their farms reportedly discovered the some of the bodies early Tuesday morning. It was learnt that the farmers alerted some vigilantes who were said to have combed the area and discovered more bodies, totalling 10. Confirming the incident to Sun Newspaper was a resident in the area.
