A Nigerian, Alowonle Oluwajuwon Gilbert, has been sentenced to death in Malaysia over the death of a nurse.
On Wednesday, the High Court sent him to the gallows to be hanged after having been found guilty, The Sun Daily reports. According to the judge, Gilbert's testimony that he left the victim’s house on May 8, 2019, turned out to be false. “The testimony by the accused that he was no longer with the victim on May 8, 2019, and had left the residence by then, is merely a denial,“ the judge said.
