The President of the Nigerian Labour Congress, NLC, Joe Ajaero, has called on President Bola Tinubu to stop playing politics and focus on addressing the issues of hunger and unemployment in Nigeria. Ajaero's statement comes in response to Tinubu's remark that Labour Unions should not call for strikes within the first nine months of an administration. Ajaero assures Tinubu that Labour unions are not after his job.

The President of the Nigerian Labour Congress , NLC , Joe Ajaero, has charged President Bola Tinubu to stop playing politics and address the issues of hunger and unemployment facing Nigerians. Ajaero was reacting to Tinubu's remark that it's unacceptable for Labour Unions to call for a strike within the first nine months of an administration. Tinubu, who spoke at the Lagos Red Line launching, emphasized that the organised labour does not represent the sole opinions of Nigerians.

According to him, If Labour Unions want to participate in the election, they should wait till 2027. However, Ajaero assured Tinubu that Labour unions are not hunting for his job.
