No fewer than eight officials of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) have been dismissed, while 18 others found to have committed offences against discipline were sanctioned. This is contained in a statement signed by Kenneth Kure, the Chief Superintendent of Immigration Public Relations Department on Friday on behalf of the Comptroller General, NIS, Isah Jere Idris. It was learnt that a Chief Superintendent of Immigration was ordered to proceed on compulsory retirement while nine other Personnel were demoted in rank.
