A Nigerian driver identified only as Kingsley has been reported missing and is feared dead after being swept away by ocean currents at Tarkwa-Bay Beach in Lagos. The tragic incident occurred on Sunday afternoon during a leisure trip involving two Indian nationals, who are said to be employees of the Dangote Company in Lekki.

According to police sources, the expatriates visited the Tarkwa-Bay Police Division to report the incident, stating that their driver had accompanied them to the beach for relaxation when he decided to enter the water around 4:00 p.m. Unfortunately, he was overpowered by strong waves and disappeared beneath the surface.

“All efforts to recover his body have so far been unsuccessful,” a police source confirmed. Officers from the Tarkwa-Bay Police Division were dispatched to the scene shortly after the report was filed. Search and recovery operations were initiated, but as of the time of this report, the driver's body had not been found. Authorities noted that only the victim’s first name is currently known, and further identification efforts are ongoing.
