The former Director of Army Public Relations gave up the ghost on Thursday in his residence in Abuja.

Chukwu was named the spokesperson of the military arm in February 2018 when Lieutenant General Tuku Buratai was the Chief of Army Staff. He succeeded Brigadier General Sani Usman, who proceeded to the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies in Plateau. Until the appointment as DAPR, Chukwu was the Commandant, Nigerian Army School of Public Relations in Lagos State.
