Nigerian Army court martial former GOC over alleged stolen N400 million
The Nigerian Army has commenced the trial of the former General Officer Commanding 7 Division, Sokoto, Hakeem Otiki, a major general, over alleged stolen N400 million by some soldiers under his command.
Members of the court are A.A Tarfa from the Headquarters Training and Doctrine Nigerian Army, F.O Agugo from Department of Army Transformation and Innovation and J.S Malu from the Headquarters Nigerian Army Engineers. The prosecuting officers are J.A Orumo, J,A Obot, from the Office of the National Security Adviser, I.A Suleman from Guards Brigade. They are all majors.
“The accused person is entitled to a defence counsel of his choice and accused person is to inform the convening officer of his counsel not later than 24 hours before the commencement of the trial.
