Nigerian Army Confirms Killing Of Four Soldiers In Bayelsa
The Nigerian Army has confirmed the killing of four soldiers by gunmen in Letugene, Ekeremor Local Government Area of Bayelsa State.
The army explained that troops were on their routine duty in the area when they were ambushed by the gunmen on Sunday, February 16th leading to the death of the soldiers.“Troops while carrying out their routine duty within its area of responsibility on Sunday 16 February 2020 at about 6:00 p.m. were ambushed by gunmen and killed.
The army in the statement also denied online reports claiming that the troops invaded the community following the attack and killing of the soldiers.
