Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Makurdi Zonal Command have arrested 28 suspected Internet fraudsters in Lafia, Nasarawa State. This was disclosed by the commission via its Twitter page on Monday, saying the suspects were arrested on Saturday, January 28, 2023, at their hideout in Lafia following intelligence on their alleged involvement in internet fraud.

Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Makurdi Zonal Command have arrested 28 suspected Internet fraudsters in Lafia, Nasarawa State. The suspects are Yusuf Mudi, Umar Ibrahim, Gabriel Selumun, Moses Hamidu, Christian Daniel Kelechi, Sara Abdullah, Abdulsalam Ogba, Ngene Sunday Chinonso, Muoneke Chukuojekwe Celestine, Terhemen Sesugh Silas, Emmanuel Phillip, Emmanuel Akwe, Jones Kismet, Shehu Khalif, Emmanuel Isaiah and Adeleke Kehinde Raphael.

Items recovered from them include 37 phones, five laptop computers, five ATM cards from different banks, two identity cards, two wallets, two laptop chargers, one knife, three power banks, one hard drive and one battery charger.The EFCC further revealed that the suspects would be charged immediately after the investigations are concluded.
