Chief Whip of the outgoing 9th Senate, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, has lamented that Nigeria has not been fair to him despite his contribution to nation building.

Kalu, who shed tears during the Senate valedictory session currently ongoing at the National Assembly on Saturday, said people he gave transport fares to travel to Lagos are now living in wealth while calling him a thief.

The former Abia State governor thanked the 9th Senate for standing by him during his difficult times, insisting that Nigeria has not been fair to him. “When I had a problem, most of the Senators stood by me. We went through difficult period,” Kalu said during an emotional speech.“People I gave transport money to Victoria Island are now in wealth and living as saint while I am being called a thief.
