The number of coronavirus fatalities in Nigeria surpassed 100 on Wednesday,The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control made this known in its daily update on its website.
It said 195 new cases and five deaths were recorded in Nigeria on Wednesday, May 6, bringing the total reported infections to 3145 and the total deaths to 103.
Based on the Centre’s chart, Lagos State has 1308 total cases with 30 deaths but 358 recoveries, the highest in the country.Kano State followed with 427 cases, six recoveries and 13 attendant deaths while Borno State has reported 116 infections with 14 resultant deaths and zero recoveries. Others with four or less recorded COVID-19 deaths include Abuja as well as Ogun, Kaduna, Edo, Oyo, Zamfara, Jigawa, Osun, Delta, Akwa Ibom, Rivers, Yobe, Ekiti and Nasarawa States.
