Nigeria’s COVID-19 Cases Top 3,000 As Death Toll Hits 103
Two health workers collecting the samples of some of the Almajiris isolated at the NYSC camp in Kiyawa Local Government Area of Jigawa State.This follows the latest update on the outbreak released by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control on Wednesday night.
While the government is gradually easing the lockdown, Lagos has the highest figure of new infections with 82 cases, followed by Kano which has 30. The remaining states are Kebbi – five, Gombe – five, Ogun – four, Katsina – three, Kaduna – one, and Adamawa – one. On a positive note, 53 more COVID-19 patients have been discharged after they tested negative twice for the disease.
