ICYMI: Nigeria Records 667 New Cases Of COVID-19 As Total Infections Exceed 19,000
The novel coronavirus has now killed at least 456,630 people worldwide since the outbreak began in China last December, according to a tally from official sources compiled by AFP as of 1900 GMT on Friday.
The tallies, using data collected by AFP from national authorities and information from the World Health Organization , probably reflect only a fraction of the actual number of infections.The United States is the worst-hit country with 118,758 deaths from 2,205,307 cases. At least 599,115 people have been declared recovered.
China — excluding Hong Kong and Macau — has to date declared 4,634 deaths and 83,325 infections with 78,398 recoveries.
