Seven deaths were recorded from the virus, bringing the total number of confirmed deaths from the virus to 549.
The former governor of Oyo State, Abiola Ajimobi, was one of the people reported to have died from the virus on Thursday.These are: Lagos, Delta, Ondo, FCT, Edo, Oyo, Kaduna, Enugu, Katsina, Imo, Adamawa, Ogun, Osun, Abia, Rivers, Nasarawa, Bauch, Niger, Kebbi, , Ekiti, Plateau and Taraba.As of Thursday, 35 states and the FCT have recorded at least a case of the disease. Only one state, Cross River, is yet to report any case of the virus.
Lagos recorded the highest daily figure of the infection on Monday, and remains the epicentre for the disease in the country.Meanwhile, states like Kogi and Jigawa have not reported any new case in over one week.
