Nigeria Records 389 New COVID-19 Cases, Total Infections Now Exceed 12,000
The novel coronavirus has killed at least 397,179 people worldwide since the outbreak first emerged in China last December, according to a tally from official sources compiled by AFP at 1900 GMT on Saturday.
The tallies, using data collected by AFP from national authorities and information from the World Health Organization , probably reflect only a fraction of the actual number of infections.The United States is the worst-hit country with 109,497 deaths from 1,908,235 cases. At least 491,706 people have been declared recovered.
