Nigerian Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, asserts that Nigeria possesses the most promising aviation market in Africa. He emphasizes the country's potential to become a leading aviation hub and urges the government to open its market to attract investors who can contribute to infrastructure development. Keyamo explains that hosting an airshow in Nigeria is a strategic move to showcase the nation's capabilities and lure foreign investment.
Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, had said that Nigeria is the most viable aviation market in the entire African continent. Keyamo stated this on Channels Television’s Sunday Politics, stressing that with the potential to become an African aviation hub, it was high time the country started to open its market to attract investors who would help improve its infrastructure.
He added that the only way forward in terms of infrastructure is to attract private investors because budgetary allocations cannot carry the big infrastructure plan. 'The president in his wisdom has also instituted what we call the Renewed Hope Fund, but that also will provide a counterpart fund. It will not provide the full funding for some big infrastructure. So, what do we want to do? “We have gone round the world and seen airshows across the world, Nigeria has not held an airshow before.
